Instalment invoices without a pocket calculator
Invoicing fits construction: instalment invoices are created with one click from the project file, numbered automatically — 1st instalment, 2nd instalment — and the final invoice offsets all issued instalments by itself, cleanly itemised and compliant. The officially validated XRechnung export is mandatory on public construction contracts — and built into Bauwerk, along with DATEV export, open items and one-click dunning.
Equipment dispatch, bad-weather mode and the site app
Expensive machines deserve dispatching: when creating an appointment, Bauwerk warns if the mini excavator or formwork is already scheduled on another site the same day — no double-booking, no searching the yard. When the weather turns, bad-weather mode moves all outdoor work of a day in one go. And out on site, progress documents itself: timestamped photos and the comment thread replace the site diary, while access, crane position and site power sit in the tour view — the driver knows before setting off.

With Bauwerk you pick one of three plans — Basis €59.90/month (€49.90 billed yearly) for up to 5 employees, Pro €114.90 (€94.90 yearly) for up to 15 employees, Premium €199.90 (€169.90 yearly) for unlimited employees. Hosting, updates and support are always included, and you can switch anytime. Project files and invoicing are included in every variant, and you never pay per user.
Can I issue instalment invoices?
Yes — straight from the project file: instalments are numbered automatically (1st instalment, 2nd instalment …), and the final invoice offsets all issued instalments by itself — cleanly itemised, compliant, no pocket calculator.
Can I see whether a site is within budget?
Yes, live: the crews clock onto the site, and actual hours run automatically against the project’s hour budget. The project file shows at any time where the job stands — recalculation happens on the side instead of months later.
Does XRechnung work for public-sector clients?
Yes — invoices can be exported as officially validated XRechnung e-invoices. On public construction contracts the e-invoice is mandatory — with Bauwerk you are on the safe side. Dispatch goes straight from the system by email, via your own SMTP server or SendGrid.
Does Bauwerk warn me about double-booked machines?
Yes — when creating an appointment, Bauwerk checks whether the mini excavator, wheel loader or formwork is already scheduled on another site the same day and warns immediately. Warning instead of blocking: you decide. The dashboard widget also shows which machine is out where today.
Can I write invoices with Bauwerk?
Yes — invoicing is a core feature, not a paid add-on. Invoices are created straight from the completed appointment, right after the customer signature if you wish, with positions prefilled from the service template. Invoice numbers are compliant and gap-free, the number range is freely configurable — existing businesses continue seamlessly from their last number. Plus: PDF with your own letterhead, open items, payment reminders and dunning with one click. If you prefer to work without the invoicing module, simply hide it.
Does my tax adviser get the data?
Yes, with one click: the DATEV export produces the posting batch plus all document PDFs for the chosen period — ready to hand over to the firm.
What do I need to run Bauwerk?
A completely normal web hosting package with PHP and a MySQL database — no special server, no forced cloud. We handle installation and setup. And with the fully managed package you need nothing at all: Bauwerk then runs entirely on our servers.
Can I test Bauwerk beforehand?
Yes — the live demo is open to everyone: a complete installation with a sample company, two crews, 14 machines, priced templates and a running project including an issued instalment invoice. Tap “Als Chef testen” (test as boss) on the login page, done. The demo resets itself every 30 minutes. Does it work on the iPad and without reception?
Yes. Bauwerk is a web app (PWA) with an app icon on the home screen. The time clock and daily tour work even in shell builds without reception and sync as soon as the network returns.
Does the software run under my company name?
Yes — white-label is included. Login, app name and business details carry your company, and your invoices appear on your own letterhead.
What about data protection?
Your customer and employee data lives on your own server — not in someone else's cloud. Roles and permissions control who sees what, an audit log documents changes, and uploaded photos are automatically stripped of GPS data.
Can Bauwerk be adapted or extended for my company?
Yes. Modules can be switched off individually, and from extra fields to entire extensions — such as quoting or a client portal — we build additions on request at a fixed price. The fastest way is our ticket system: describe your wish and we reply with a fixed-price quote.
